Biography
A Richmond native, Shawnda is a compassionate, caring, forward-thinking, solution-based innovator. Constantly supporting positive community and economic growth, Shawnda is further fueled by her passion for life.
Shawnda holds family and values at a high standard. She is devoted to her husband, sons and God. An athlete by nature she loves to run races, 5K, 10K and half marathons, as well as indulge in anything fitness. Shawnda bases her life on integrity, ethics, good energy and hard work. After an extended career as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Shawnda found her calling and new passion in Real Estate.
Knowledge, Quality Care, Integrity, Diligence and Charity are the key principles that she bases her business off of. In guiding her clients through the buying and selling process, Shawnda aims to exceed expectations in everything she, and those on her team, does. Shawnda holds herself to the highest ethical standards, doing her best to demonstrate honesty and fairness in every decision and action. She prides herself in expeditious execution in addressing her clients’ needs. Shawnda’s passion is giving back and making a positive impact in our community by helping those in need.
She continues to educate herself in all aspects of real estate, working with buyers, sellers and investors, with a special knack for first time home buyers. Also being a graduate of the Richmond Association of REALTORS® Leadership Development Academy, Shawnda is determined to meet her clients right where they are. Shawnda also prides herself on using cutting-edge marketing for her sellers and having phenomenal resources for her buyers, thus she has earned the official technology certification offered by the National Association of REALTORS®, e-Pro® (Electronic Professional). By earning her PSA® certification as a Pricing Strategy Advisor, Shawnda has enhanced her skills in pricing properties, working with appraisers and guiding clients through the anxieties and misconceptions about home values. She also holds the SFR®, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Certification, in efforts to help those that find themselves in a tough financial situation. As an ABR®, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, designee, she has mastered the skills and knowledge needed to be successful and excel in every stage of the home-buying process. She also has obtained the SRS® (Seller Representative Specialist) Designation, in order to be a top-notch source for clients that wish to have a smooth and successful sale of their property. Amongst all of her designations, she has also added the MRP® (Military Relocation Professional) Certification, which gave her a better knowledge of working with U.S. service members and their families and veterans to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and to take full advantage of available benefits and support. In following the calling of Lead, Teach and Motivate, she also earned the C-RETS (Certified Real Estate Team Specialist). Of course, equality is at the top of the list in ways to serve her clients, so Shawnda has also obtained her AHWD® (At Home With Diversity) Certification.
